A recent article on MSN news and lifestyle talks about an implant that could give a tan for a lengthy period of time - as long as three months thus getting rid of the need to use either UV tanning or fake tanning products.
The implant is currently only used to help skin conditions including the treatment of skin cancer.
Melanin is the catalyst for change in skin colour
Why the implant could work for fake tanning
is it helps with the generation of melanin which is the catalyst for the change in colour of skin. This is done by putting a tiny implant under the skin.
Unfortunately, this is only talk and any commercial tanning use of the implant may well be years away!

I’ve heard of this before but really unless it is being used for medical purposes why would you risk putting implants into your skin just for aesthetic rerasons or the vainity of getting that perfect all ver tan. Some people are bonkers. Teri, Walsall
